Q. HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?

A. 60 to 90 Minutes, depending on how long a tour you want to schedule.

 

Q. WHAT IF I WANT TO GO LONGER?

A. We do have pricing for longer tours, please call to inquire.

 

Q. WHAT DAYS DO YOU OPERATE?

A. We are open for booking online Thursday, Friday & Saturday in June from 11am to 10pm. We will be operating 7 days a week in July & August and going back to Thursday, Friday & Saturday in September. If you wish to book a tour on another day outside of our general schedule, please call us directly.

 

Q. How can I check availability?

Q. HOW FAST DOES THE TIKI BOAT GO?

A. It’s a slow ride and has a cruising speed at around 4 to 6 mph.

 

Q. DOES THE BOAT MAKE ANY STOPS?

A. At your request, stops for food and drinks can be made at the Lake George Beach Club, Christie’s on the Lake, The Boardwalk Restaurant, or Scotty’s Lakeside Resort Beach Bar and Café.

 

Q. WHAT DAYS DO YOU OPERATE?

A. We are open for booking online Thursday, Friday & Saturday in June from 11am to 10pm. If you wish to book a tour on another day outside of our general schedule, please call us directly.

 

Q. HOW MANY RIDERS CAN WE BRING?

A. Max capacity currently is 6 people or 1,650 pounds, whichever is less.

 

Q. WHAT IF I BRING MORE THAN 6?

A. We do have three boats that can run at the same time. Please give us a call if you wish to book additional boats in the same time slot.

 

Q. WHAT IF I HAVE LESS THAN 6, DOES THE PRICING CHANGE?

A. The cost is for rental of the entire boat for 60 or 90 minutes, the price is the same regardless of how many passengers you have.

 

Q. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

A. Absolutely!  Children under the age of 12 are required to wear a life jacket which we have on board or you can bring your own.  Please let us know if you plan to bring more than one child so we can make the appropriate accommodations for life jackets.

 

Q. CAN I BRING MY FISHING POLE?

A. Only if you are prepared to bait your own hook!  You must also possess a New York State Fishing License (www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6091.html).  If you are under the age of 16 you do not need a license.

 

Q. CAN I PAY ON THE DAY OF THE TOUR?

A. All tours are pre-booked online and cannot be paid at the charter boat.

 

Q. WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION AND INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES?

A. Bookings are non-refundable 48 hours after the day and time of processing. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at anytime due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. If your tour is canceled, you will be given a rain check to re-book at another time (this excludes behavioral cancellations).

 

Q. DO YOUR BOATS OPERATE IN THE RAIN?

A. We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats are covered. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions.

 

Q. WHERE DOES THE TOUR START/END & WHEN SHOULD MY GROUP ARRIVE?

A. 13 beach Road Lake George, NY 12845.  Our boats will be parked at the Village of Lake George Docks. Please show up 25 minutes before to check-in.

 

Q. CAN I BE PICKED UP AT MY HOTEL?

A. Of course, so long as it is on the southern end of Lake George!  Please give us a call to inquire about special accommodations.

 

Q. DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINK?

A. We do not provide any food or drink, however, you may bring your own and use the provided cooler and ice onboard the boat.

 

Q. CAN I PLAY MY OWN MUSIC ONBOARD?

A. Yes, we do have bluetooth-capable stereo systems that can sync to your phone and choice of music.

 

Q. WHO IS MY CAPTAIN?

A. All our Captains have been vetted, trained and strategically chosen based on their experience with boating and knowledge of the Lake.  Our Captains hold a Joint Pilot and Engineer’s license which is issued by the State of New York and required to charter a vessel such as the tiki boat.

 

Q. SHOULD I TIP MY CAPTAIN?

A. Our Captains do work for tips, so gratuity is appreciated.

 

Q. IS THERE A BATHROOM ONBOARD?

A. There is a porta-potty with a privacy screen but please keep in mind the boat is 15.5 feet by 15.5 feet and space is limited.

 

Q. ARE THERE AVAILABLE LIFE JACKETS ON BOARD?

A. Yes, there is a type 1 PFD for every passenger.

 

Q. WHERE DID THE TIKI BOAT COME FROM?

The tiki boats were originally designed and fabricated by Cruisin’ Tiki, LLC in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and are currently being fabricated by Tiki Boatworks, LLC in Colonie, New York.  The tiki boats have been inspected and certified by the US Coast Guard and New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
